TEXTURES

for the Dark to light textures I did this two ways

I had pattern that progressively gor darker with the same design shown below

As well as completely different pattern that went light to dark as well

these textures were then used in the model

Experiment 2

This week was when I combined the axonometric top form more shapes.

These combined Axos were based on the themes of generous space from Hundertwasser, as well as structure for aesthetics and functionality, from Calatrava.

Experiment 2

Week 1: The concept

In this experiment, our tutor gave us the initial idea based on two architects, Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Santiago Calatrava. The two architects could not be any more juxtaposed from each other. Hundertwasser believes in building natural forms and maximising the use of space through whimsical, inane and colourful structures. Calatrava has both backgrounds in Architecture and Engineering and builds with function as a purpose as equal to appearance. He creates more streamlined, aerodynamic and highrise buildings that cater both aesthetics and function.

There for my two concepts are as follows:

Friedensreich:
Building forms that merge with nature and maximises the use of space

Calatrava:
To cater both function of engineering and aesthetic of architecture in futuristic methods ahead of his time.

As the THEME I decided to go with Multicultural as I depict the theme to me interconnecting, multifunctional as well as a unison in a community.

With this in mind, I tried making several Axonometric diagrams as a trial and also expressing some of these concepts.

I further modelled one of them into Sketchup and then to Lumion

Week 3 - Textures part 2

Video of making Dome similar to Louise SStuido in design 1

I chose this video because it reminded me of my own design of the dome for Louise in design 1. This is a part of the video on how to construct the dome. I think this would be similar to how my own dome would be constructed, if not made with different sturdier materials due to it being underground.
WEEK 4

I HAVE FINISHED MY MODEL!!!!
